The Cartagena Town Hall's square was the setting chosen by the Cadena SER radio station for its mobile broadcast. From the square, it did a live broadcast of the programme Hoy por Hoy Región de Murcia on the topic of  World Environment Day and World Oceans Day, with the collaboration of Hidrogea.

The Mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón; the Councillor for the Environment, Obdulia Gómez; the Chancellor of the Technical University of Cartagena (UPCT), Alejandro Díaz; the President of the Confederación Comarcal de Organizaciones Empresariales de Cartagena (Cartagena Business Confederation, COEC), Pedro Pablo Hernández; Asociación de Naturalistas del Sureste (ANSE) biologist, Jorge Sánchez; and the CEO of Hidrogea, Javier Ybarra, were invited to the radio station’s microphones to discuss future projects and investment in environmental projects, collaborations and alliances for the Mar Menor lagoon, ecological awareness programmes, environmental voluntary work, protecting seas and oceans and other key topics.
